On the other hand, Sri Lanka are performing well in all departments of the game and on favourites to win the dead rubber ODI.

The rain arrived just before the lunch session and since then, it has refused to relent. And it has forced play to be called off prematurely. Sri Lanka won’t mind this weather at this stage as they find themselves in a hole after a horrible morning session. They started the day in a strong position but the combo of Boult and Southee were at their lethal best and both produced double wicket overs in their respective spells to rock the middle order of Sri Lanka.
